Nectarine - Rounded oblong

  Skin Colour: Deep cherry red skin in exposed light covering 80%-90% of the fruit.  Brilliant and bright.

  Flesh Colour: Yellow flesh with fine medium texture
  Flesh Texture:

Fine to medium; melting

  Flavour:

Full Acid and an excellent blend of sugar and aromatics

  Stone:

Medium to large; Free / Cling / Semi-cling

Tree

  Cropping: It is regular, precocious and a heavy cropper
  Blossom: Pink; Mid season and showy
  Pollination: Self fertile
  Vigour: Medium

Notes

 

Orion® has a solid place as a high quality late season nectarine in New Zealand.  It is the best nectarine in its season.
