External

  Maturity: December 5 to 20 in two to three picks (Based on Commerc ial Harvesting dates in Hastings)
  Fruit Size: Average 2.5 inches or larger
  Fruit Shape:

Peach - Rounded with a small tip

  Skin Colour: 80% bright orange red and a slight stripe

Internal

  Flesh Colour: Yellow, non browining
  Flesh Texture:

Melting and firm

  Flavour:

Sugar to acid ratio pleasing

  Stone:

Semi freestone.  Split stones (relative to other early varieties)

Tree

  Cropping: Medium
  Blossom: Non-showy, pink
  Pollination: Self-fertile
  Vigour: Medium
  Tree Habit/Form: Hardy.  Bacterial spot resistant

Notes

 

Tree has good resistance to bacterial spot and canker and is of good productivity.  Fruit of overall good quality but slightly smaller than Springcrest which ripens earlier.
